[Financial News] A Japanese woman in her 50s who forcibly molested BTS (Bangtan Boys) member Jin has been sent to trial without detention.
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 17th that it had indicted a Japanese woman in her 50s, identified as Ms. A, on charges of forcible molestation under the Criminal Act.
Ms. A is accused of forcibly kissing Jin on the cheek during the 'Free Hugs' fan meeting held at Jamsil Arena in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on June 13 last year.
Afterward, some BTS fans filed a complaint through e-People, requesting an investigation into Ms. A for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, which led to a police investigation.
The police initially suspended the investigation in March, anticipating it would take considerable time. However, after Ms. A entered the country and voluntarily appeared, the investigation resumed and the case was forwarded to the prosecution.
