[Financial News] On the 17th, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading around $94,000, putting it at risk of giving up all its gains for the year.
According to CoinMarketCap, as of 10:20 a.m. on this day, BTC was trading at approximately $94,000, down 0.43% over the past 24 hours. Over the past week, BTC has dropped 10.67%.
In the Korean won market, BTC is trading at around 141 million KRW. Based on Cryprice, the Korea premium stands at 2.47%.
At the beginning of this year, BTC was around $93,000. On June 6 last month, it surpassed $126,250, setting a new all-time high. However, after entering a correction phase, it has returned to its early-year levels. At one point during the day, it even fell to around $92,000.
Since mid-last month, when United States of America (USA) President Donald Trump’s remarks about retaliatory tariffs on China shocked the market, there has been little recovery. Although the US-China trade conflict has been postponed for a year, concerns over slowing US economic indicators and diminished expectations for additional Federal Reserve System (Fed) rate cuts this year are seen as contributing factors.
Institutional investors are also withdrawing funds. Over the past three trading days (November 12–14), institutions recorded net sales in all 11 Bitcoin Spot Exchange-Traded Funds (Bitcoin Spot ETF) listed in the USA, selling a total of $1.64977 billion (about 2.4056 trillion KRW) worth of shares.
Investor sentiment has also cooled. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index provided by CoinMarketCap stood at 17 on this day, indicating 'extreme fear.' The index ranges from 0 to 100, with values closer to 0 representing 'extreme fear' and values closer to 100 indicating 'extreme greed.'
At the same time, Ethereum was trading at around $3,121, down 0.94% from the previous day. Ripple was trading at about $2.23, up 0.96%.
