On the 17th, LBM stated it will undertake a comprehensive overhaul of its working environment, focusing on three core initiatives: enhancing job security, strengthening compliance with statutory working hours, and revamping its safety and health systems. To this end, the company will recruit a human resources (HR) expert next month to restructure its labor contracts and personnel systems.
Notably, it will introduce a system in which, after a three-month probationary period, contracts transition to one-year terms, thereby improving the short-term contract structure. The proportion of permanent employees will also be gradually increased.
During last month’s Parliamentary Inspection of the Administration, London Bagel Museum and its affiliates faced criticism for using employment contracts split into one- or three-month terms. LBM also announced that if a sudden vacancy arises at a store, a dedicated team from headquarters will be dispatched to support operations.
5 times the usual level. The company will also revamp its work record management.
Security system logs at store closing will be checked as a mandatory procedure, and headquarters will verify the actual closing times for each store the following day.
In the first half of next year, LBM plans to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that will enable real-time management of work records linked to fingerprint scanners.
Regular employee interviews and manager training sessions will also be conducted.
Additionally, safety guidelines will be established to reduce industrial accidents.
