NCSoft Corporation’s New Shooter ‘Cinder City’ Creates Buzz at G-Star 2025

NCSoft Corporation announced on the 14th that its new open-world tactical shooter, ‘Cinder City,’ received an enthusiastic response from visitors through its demo booth and new video presentation at G-Star 2025, held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
Bae Jae-hyun, CEO of BigFire Games, the developer, stated at the event, “We are developing ‘Cinder City’ so that countless players can immerse themselves in the narrative and enjoy intense cooperative gameplay. As NCSoft Corporation’s first open-world shooter, players will experience AAA-level storytelling and large-scale cooperative battles.”
At G-Star 2025, NCSoft Corporation operated a demo booth for ‘Cinder City,’ showcasing a campaign mode where visitors could experience the story of the character ‘Seven’ set in a devastated Seoul.
The ‘Cinder City’ demo booth attracted so many visitors that it was constantly full, resulting in wait times exceeding 180 minutes.
NCSoft Corporation also unveiled a new trailer at ‘NC Cinema,’ a dome-shaped panoramic theater set up at the G-Star venue.
Meanwhile, NCSoft Corporation is developing ‘Cinder City’ with the goal of a global release in the second half of 2026.
