According to Financial News, RaonSecure announced on the 14th that it held a training seminar on Korea Decentralized Identifier (K-DID) technology for executives from major Spanish companies and institutions at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
The training was attended by 31 executives from 22 Spanish companies and institutions, including Uría Menéndez, the country's largest legal advisory firm, as well as organizations in IT software, manufacturing, energy, chemicals, construction, and distribution.
Spain is making large-scale national investments in digital transformation, centered around its 'Digital Spain 2026' agenda. This year, the country also launched its national digital ID app, MiDNI.
During the seminar, RaonSecure explained the advantages of K-DID technology to Spanish executives and demonstrated Korea’s national mobile ID app. The company also introduced its blockchain-based identity and credential verification platform, OmniOne Digital ID, which is the world’s first blockchain mobile ID solution.
Building on K-DID technology, RaonSecure is expanding its overseas digital ID business. Last year, it carried out the integrated digital ID service project for the government of the Republic of Indonesia and developed a public digital wallet for the government of Costa Rica. This year, the company is implementing digital ID projects for universities, associations, and educational institutions in Costa Rica.
RaonSecure is also actively expanding its blockchain-based digital ID business through technical exchanges involving K-DID technology. Last year, the company engaged with governments in Japan, Costa Rica, the Republic of Indonesia, and Mongolia. This year, government officials from Peru, Honduras, Costa Rica, Laos, and Azerbaijan have visited the headquarters. With the visit of Spanish executives, RaonSecure plans to accelerate its entry into the European market for blockchain-based digital ID solutions.
Lee Soon-hyung, CEO of RaonSecure, stated, "Spain is rapidly advancing in the fields of digital ID and e-government. This seminar confirmed the potential for cooperation with Spanish companies in blockchain-based digital ID technology," adding, "We will continue to strengthen the global competitiveness of K-DID technology through close collaboration with countries in Europe and around the world."
