K-water Strengthens Collaboration with OECD to Enhance Water Infrastructure Performance Using AI

Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) announced on the 14th that, as part of the official program for Korea International Water Week (KIWW) 2025, it hosted the International Cooperation Workshop for Water Infrastructure Performance Enhancement in collaboration with international organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and leading domestic research institutes.
The workshop was organized to discuss strategies for advancing the performance and sustainability of water infrastructure through artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twin-based water management technologies.
Presentations at the event included K-water’s digital water management strategy, the OECD’s approach to enhancing sustainable infrastructure performance, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)’s robotic deep-tech-based infrastructure management technology, and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS)’s current status and strategies for national standardization, among other concrete implementation roadmaps.
Moon Sukju, Head of the Water Division at K-water, stated, “We will continue to lead technological advancement and global standards in the water infrastructure sector through ongoing collaboration, and establish a water management system based on advanced technologies.”
