[Financial News] The large-scale reconstruction of Yeouido Sibum Apartments, comprising 2,493 units, has been confirmed. Leveraging its location adjacent to the Hangang River and Yeouido Park, the complex is expected to be developed into an open and citizen-friendly residential area.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 14th that, at the 11th meeting of the Integrated Deliberation Committee for Urban Renewal Projects held on the 13th, the reconstruction plan for Yeouido Sibum Apartments was approved.
The plan is designed to maximize the unique riverside location while harmonizing with the surrounding landscape. It secures openness and view corridors by considering the Hangang River and Yeouido Park to the north of the site, and creates a skyline that blends with 63 SQUARE to the southeast.
Inside the complex, a cross-shaped public walkway will be established, creating a pedestrian network that naturally connects the riverside and neighboring complexes. Public accessibility has been greatly enhanced, allowing anyone to freely pass through the complex and reach the Hangang River.
Additionally, an elevated pedestrian bridge directly linking to the Hangang River will be installed, completing an open access system to the river along with the public walkways. The structure will shift from a closed complex to an open one, enabling citizens to easily access the Hangang River.

Along the Hangang River (Yeouidong-ro), a cultural park and cultural facilities will be created, providing spaces where citizens can enjoy river views, relax, and participate in various cultural activities. The area will serve not only as a residential complex but also as a cultural hub, with direct public support.
To address the needs of an aging society, a Day Care Center for senior welfare will also be established. Both residents and nearby locals will be able to use the facility, contributing to the well-being of the community. After project and management plan approvals, construction is scheduled to begin in 2029.
