[Financial News] The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) closed higher, buoyed by net buying from foreign investors.
On the 13th, the KOSPI finished at 4,170.63, up 20.24 points (0.49%) from the previous trading day.
The KOSPI opened at 4,127.57, down 22.82 points (0.55%) from the previous session.
In the main stock market, foreign investors purchased 1.0104 trillion won worth of shares in a single day. In contrast, individuals and institutions sold 209.4 billion won and 769.4 billion won worth of stocks, respectively.
Among large-cap stocks, performance was mixed. Samsung Electronics and SK hynix fell by 0.10% and 0.81%, respectively, while LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Motor rose by 2.00% and 0.91%.
By sector, machinery and equipment (up 3.94%), medical and precision instruments (up 2.87%), and metals (up 2.73%) showed notable gains.
The KOSDAQ Index closed at 918.37, up 11.86 points (1.31%) from the previous day.
