President Lee’s Approval Rating at 61%... Returns to 60% Range After Two Weeks

President Lee Jae-myung’s approval rating for his administration has returned to the 60% range for the first time in two months.
In the National Barometer Survey (NBS) conducted by Embrain Public, KStat Research, Korea Research International, and Hankook Research from the 10th to the 12th with 1,004 adults aged 18 and older, and released on the 13th, 61% of respondents gave a positive assessment of President Lee’s performance. This marks a 5 percentage point increase from the previous survey two weeks ago.
After recording 62% in the first week of September, the positive rating had remained in the 50% range but has now surpassed 60% again. The negative assessment dropped by 6 percentage points to 29% compared to the previous survey.
By party support, the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) recorded 42%, while the People Power Party stood at 21%.
The DPK’s support increased by 3 percentage points from the previous survey, while the People Power Party’s support declined by 4 percentage points.
The NBS was conducted through telephone interviews using 100% mobile virtual numbers. The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The response rate was 14.8%.
