[Financial News] The KLPGA Tournament of Champions, the 'WEMIX Championship 2025', will bring together 24 top-ranked players in Gyeongju.
The WEMIX Championship 2025, the super final event that concludes the year for the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, will kick off at Mauna Ocean Country Club in Gyeongju from the 15th to the 16th. This event serves as the grand finale where players who have fiercely competed all season ignite their final spark, and the ultimate champion is crowned.
Only the top 24 players, determined by points from the 'Race to WEMIX Championship' throughout the season, are invited to this prestigious event, which is widely regarded as the KLPGA's highest honor. Notable participants include inaugural champion Lee Ye-won, as well as Noh Seung-hee, Bang Shin-sil, Park Hyun-kyung, Lee Ga-young, Park Ji-young, Jung Yoon-ji, Hwang You-min, Kim Su-ji, and Ma Da-som, all of whom have qualified for the third consecutive year.
In particular, Hyunju Yoo claimed both the top spot in the points ranking and the Wemade Grand Prize, earning the honor of 50 million won. The participation of Jung Min Hong, the season's leading money winner, is also drawing attention. Although she narrowly missed qualifying last year, this season she finished first in the money rankings and will close out the year at the Tournament of Champions. Additionally, Sung Yu-jin, Lee Da-yeon, and Han Jin-sun return after two years, adding further depth to the field.

For the first time, this year's tournament will be held at Mauna Ocean Country Club in Gyeongju. Known for its seaside course and unique terrain, the venue will require players to demonstrate precise course management.
Another highlight is the DAY 1 match play group selection event, held on the eve of the tournament (the 14th). The top 12 players in WEMIX points will directly choose their match opponents and preferred tee times, a distinctive format that heightens anticipation each year among fans.
The most emotional storyline of this year's WEMIX Championship is undoubtedly Hwang You-min's farewell. After winning the Daebo HausD Championship, she declared her ambition to become the world's number one. Now, she faces her final round in Korea. If Hwang You-min lifts the trophy and leaves the final hole, it will be proof that the KLPGA has produced a new star for a new era.

At Mauna Ocean Country Club, where the winds of Gyeongju blow, 24 queens will take their final tee shots. Some will smile, others may shed tears, but all are both colleagues who shared the year and the brilliant protagonists of Korean women's golf. For Korean golf fans, there could be no more beautiful finale to the 2025 season.
