KOSPI Closes at 4,073.24 on Institutional Buying, Up 3.02% [fn Closing Market]

[Financial News] On the 10th, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) surged past the 4,000 mark again, driven by strong institutional investor buying.
KOSPI closed at 4,073.24, up 119.48 points (3.02%) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 3,991.87, up 38.11 points (0.96%), and continued to gain throughout the session.
In the domestic stock market, individual investors and foreign investors sold shares worth 1.1608 trillion won and 148.5 billion won, respectively. In contrast, institutional investors purchased shares worth 1.3077 trillion won.
Among the top 14 stocks by market capitalization, Hanwha Aerospace (up 4.55%), SK hynix (up 4.48%), and KB Financial Group (up 4.28%) recorded the highest gains.
Samsung Electronics, the largest company by market capitalization on KOSPI, closed at 106,000 won, up 2.76% from the previous session.
By sector, all categories ended higher except for real estate, which edged down 0.14%. Securities (up 6.54%), electricity and gas (up 4.45%), and insurance (up 4.08%) posted the largest increases.
The KOSDAQ Index closed at 888.35, up 11.54 points (1.32%) from the previous session. The index opened at 882.44, up 5.63 points (0.64%).
