Party Room Fire on Garosu-gil... Police: "Decision on Charges to Be Made After Statements and Forensic Analysis"

[Financial News] Police are reviewing whether to press charges in connection with the party room fire that occurred on Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, based on forensic analysis and statements from those involved.
On the 10th, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated, "We plan to determine whether to press charges and if there is any criminal liability after considering the statements of those present at the scene and the results of the forensic analysis."
The fire broke out around 9 p.m. on the 8th in a basement party room of a building on Garosu-gil. Six teenagers who were inside the party room suffered minor burns and were transported to the hospital. Nine others, including six additional people and three inside the building, were reported to have evacuated urgently.
The fire authorities deployed 84 personnel and 25 vehicles, fully extinguishing the blaze by 9:40 p.m., 40 minutes after it started.
Police and fire authorities are conducting a joint investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire and whether there was any negligence in safety management.
