[Financial News] LOTTE Engineering & Construction announced on the 10th that the large-scale petrochemical complex project, the LINE Project, which it constructed in the Republic of Indonesia, has been successfully completed. The completion ceremony was held locally in Indonesia on the 6th of this month.
This project, with a total investment of $3.95 billion (approximately 5.6 trillion KRW), involved building a massive petrochemical complex on a site of about 990,000 square meters in the Cilegon area, located approximately 90 km northwest of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
With the completion of this project, facilities have been established to stably produce 1 million tons of ethylene, 520,000 tons of propylene (PL), 400,000 tons of benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTX), 250,000 tons of polypropylene (PP), and 140,000 tons of butadiene (BD) annually.
LOTTE Engineering & Construction was responsible for constructing production facilities for 400,000 tons of benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTX), 250,000 tons of polypropylene (PP), and 140,000 tons of butadiene (BD), as well as utility infrastructure and port facilities necessary for plant operation. Commercial operations of the LINE Project began on October 15.
This project is the first Naphtha Cracking Center (NCC) to operate in Indonesia. The completion is expected to strengthen the local supply chain and profitability in Indonesia. A representative from LOTTE Engineering & Construction stated, "The successful completion of the LINE Project demonstrates our engineering capabilities in petrochemical plant design and project execution."
