HYBE’s Weverse Expands into China, Partners with QQ Music

[Financial News] The global superfan platform Weverse announced on the 7th that it will officially launch its private chat service, Weverse DM, on QQ Music, China’s largest music streaming platform.
On the 5th, QQ Music announced via its official Weibo account that it has formed a strategic partnership with Weverse and will soon launch the Weverse DM service. Weverse DM will be integrated as an in-app service within the QQ Music platform, with the official launch set for the 18th.
QQ Music, operated by Tencent Music Entertainment Group (TME), is the largest music streaming platform in China. With the launch of Weverse DM on QQ Music, the convenience for Chinese fans using Weverse, the expansion of artists’ fandoms, and the growth of Weverse’s user base are all expected to accelerate.
Weverse DM is a chat service that allows fans and artists to communicate closely. Not only musicians such as Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and Le Sserafim, who are on Weverse, but also actors like Byeon Woo-seok and Lee Chae-min actively use it as a channel to connect with fans. Weverse DM offers automatic translation in 14 languages, enabling fans in China and abroad to conveniently communicate directly with artists.
A QQ Music representative stated, “With the launch of the Weverse DM service, Chinese fans using QQ Music can now communicate with artists more smoothly and conveniently. This collaboration has further expanded the entertainment content and services available on QQ Music, allowing users to enjoy not only music streaming but also social media and interactive features all in one place.”
A representative from WEVERSE COMPANY commented, “By partnering with a local Chinese company to offer Weverse’s core communication service (Weverse DM), we have improved accessibility for fans. Weverse plans to further expand its business in China from multiple angles to enhance convenience and accessibility for local fans.”
