Foreign Investors Sell for Five Consecutive Days... KOSPI Falters

[Financial News] The KOSPI is trading lower as both foreign and institutional investors continue to sell.
As of 1:16 p.m. on the 7th, the KOSPI is trading at 3,915.88, down 110.57 points (2.75%) from the previous trading day.
The KOSPI opened at 3,963.72, down 62.73 points (1.56%) from the previous day, breaking below the 4,000 mark. During the session, the index dropped as much as 124.78 points (3.10%) to 3,901.67, threatening to fall below 3,900.
In the KOSPI Market, foreign investors and institutions are selling 204.4 billion won and 39.9 billion won worth of shares, respectively. Meanwhile, individual investors are net buyers of 250.5 billion won. Foreign investors have been net sellers for five consecutive trading days since the 3rd.
Most of the top market cap stocks are declining. Samsung Electronics (-1.92%), SK hynix (-2.87%), and LG Energy Solution (-2.34%) are all showing losses.
By sector, electric and gas (-4.18%), entertainment and culture (-3.87%), and construction (-3.76%) are among the weakest performers.
The Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (KOSDAQ) index is also trading lower, down 26.76 points (2.98%) at 871.41 compared to the previous session.
