Pandora Reopens... Disney+ Documentary 'Fire and Water' Released Ahead of 'Avatar 3'

[Financial News] Disney+ is releasing the documentary series 'Fire and Water: The Making of Avatar' today (the 7th). This two-part series, unveiled ahead of the December release of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash,' delves into the world of Avatar and showcases behind-the-scenes stories of the cast’s performances.
The documentary focuses on how the world of Pandora was brought to life in the 2022 film 'Avatar: The Way of Water.' It reveals the innovative production process of Performance Capture technology, which vividly captures the actors’ subtle emotions and movements, going beyond simple CGI.
Interviews with key cast members such as Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, and director James Cameron, as well as other production staff, provide insights into the making of the Avatar series. In addition, some scenes from 'Avatar: Fire and Ash,' set for release in December, are being revealed for the first time, heightening anticipation.
Since its debut in 2009, Avatar has grossed $2.9 billion worldwide and has remained the top-grossing film at the global box office for 16 years. Its sequel, 'Avatar: The Way of Water,' earned $2.32025 billion globally, ranking third all-time. In Korea, both films attracted over 10 million viewers, making the upcoming December release one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.
'Avatar: Fire and Ash' tells the story of the Sully family as they face an entirely new crisis. The film will introduce the Ash Tribe for the first time in the series, unveil unseen aspects of Pandora, and present even more intense visual spectacles and unprecedented large-scale battles.
