Following a stabbing incident at a Redevelopment Association office in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong District, Seoul, police have set up a police line at the entrance and are restricting access.

[Financial News] Mr. Cho (66), who caused a stabbing rampage at a Redevelopment Association office in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong District, Seoul, has waived his right to a pretrial detention warrant hearing. With the waiver submitted to the court, he is expected to proceed toward detention.
According to police and legal sources on the 6th, Mr. Cho informed authorities that he would not attend the detention warrant hearing scheduled for 2:30 p.m. that day at the Seoul Eastern District Court. The court will review the documents submitted by the prosecution and decide on his detention without holding a hearing.
Mr. Cho is accused of stabbing three people—a woman in her 50s, a man in his 70s, and another individual—at the office of a street housing redevelopment association in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong District, around 10:20 a.m. on the 4th. After one of the three victims died, police added a murder charge to the initial attempted murder charge and requested a detention warrant from the prosecution.
Mr. Cho, the former head of the association, had previously been summarily indicted last month for sexually assaulting one of the victims. The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office has requested a formal trial for that case and intends to merge it with the current stabbing incident.
