[Financial News] Nongshim announced on the 5th that Nongshim Shin Ramyun Toomba has been selected for the '2025 Hit Products Best 30' by Nikkei Trendy, a leading Japanese business magazine. This marks the first time a Korean ramen has made the list.
Nikkei Trendy is a monthly magazine published by Nikkei Inc., recognized as an influential source for identifying consumer trends in Japan.
The annual 'Hit Products Best 30,' announced at the end of each year, selects products and services launched in Japan over the past year based on sales performance and innovation. It is considered a key indicator of brand influence in the Japanese consumer market.
Nikkei Trendy introduced Nongshim Shin Ramyun Toomba as a product that has gained popularity, especially among younger consumers, even in Japan, known as the kingdom of instant noodles.
In April, Nongshim officially launched Nongshim Shin Ramyun Toomba cup noodles in Japan through 7-Eleven, the country's top convenience store chain. Within just two weeks of its release, the initial shipment of one million units sold out, reflecting explosive demand. Since September, Nongshim has expanded its lineup to include bag noodles, now available at all three major convenience store chains in Japan—7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson. Since launch, cumulative sales have reached approximately seven million packs.
A Nongshim representative stated, "We will continue to grow as a global brand that leads the tastes and cultures of consumers worldwide by showcasing the diverse appeal of Shin Ramyun."
