Models introduce the Samsung Electronics booth at the 2025 Smart Construction, Safety and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expo, held at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan until the 7th.
Samsung Electronics announced on the 5th that, together with Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), it is jointly exhibiting an AI Home-based Modular Home Solution at the 2025 Smart Construction, Safety and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expo, taking place at KINTEX in Ilsan until the 7th. Hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), this large-scale exhibition showcases the latest smart construction technologies, with more than 250 companies participating this year.
Last month, Samsung Electronics first unveiled its Modular Home Solution in collaboration with Samsung C&T Corporation at Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin 2025 (IFA 2025) in Germany. Building on this, the company now introduces the solution domestically through its collaboration with LH, aiming to actively expand the business both in Korea and abroad.
The Samsung Modular Home Solution is an AI Home solution based on Samsung SmartThings, optimized for modular architecture. Various devices that make up a building—including AI appliances, IoT devices such as sensors, lighting, and door locks, as well as HVAC facilities, energy solutions, and ventilation systems—are interconnected through Samsung SmartThings to optimize indoor environments and improve energy efficiency.
Provided as a turnkey solution along with modular construction, residents can immediately enjoy the daily conveniences offered by Samsung Electronics' AI Home simply by logging in after moving in.
Within the LH exhibition space, Samsung Electronics has implemented an AI Home-based Modular Home Solution designed for one- and two-person households, covering an area of 51 square meters. Visitors can experience the four core values of the AI Home Solution—Ease, Save (time and energy efficiency), Care (for personal and family health), and Secure (robust security and safety)—across five spaces: entrance, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and laundry room.
At the modular home entrance, visitors can explore security solutions such as smart door locks and doorbells connected via Samsung SmartThings, as well as features that automatically operate appliances tailored to the user's lifestyle.
In the kitchen, visitors can directly experience a variety of features, including the Daily Board, which summarizes personalized information such as weather, schedules, and meal recommendations on the refrigerator screen; AI Vision Inside, which automatically generates a food inventory list by recognizing ingredients entering and leaving the refrigerator; and Auto Open Door, which allows the refrigerator door to open automatically when you say, "Open the refrigerator door," without needing to call Bixby.
Other features available for demonstration include solutions for home security, SmartThings 3D Map View for monitoring and controlling all connected devices at a glance, and Quick Remote, which enables easy control of Samsung products linked to Samsung SmartThings using a Samsung smartphone. Hyesoon Yang, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances Division, stated, "Based on our smart modular home solution, we will deliver user-centric innovation and present a new paradigm for next-generation living environments."
