[Financial News] GS25 announced on the 4th that it is launching a three-way partnership with the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) and Naver Pay to capture the growing demand for overseas travel.
On the 5th, GS25 will introduce four ready-to-eat meals inspired by signature dishes from Guam. The Cube Steak Fried Rice was developed based on the concept of the popular Chamorro Village Wednesday Night Market BBQ Platter. This meal features pork shoulder chop steak with American-style barbecue sauce, grilled cheese kimchi fried rice, and stir-fried noodle pasta with Finadene sauce, a traditional flavor from Guam. The Red Rice Chicken Gimbap combines Red rice, a traditional Chamorro dish, with pickled radish, carrot, and Cajun chicken for a rich taste.
The Spam Tuna Mayo Rice Ball reimagines the popular local Spam musubi in a rice ball format, with a whole slice of Spam placed atop tuna mayo rice. The Coconut Mango Sandwich is a dessert-style sandwich filled with cream, mango chunks, and Coco Palm made from coconut.
From the 5th to the 30th, customers who purchase Guam collaboration products and accumulate GS ALL Membership points will receive a stamp on the event page of the Our Neighborhood GS app. Collecting three stamps automatically enters customers into a prize draw, with first prize being a Guam accommodation and flight package (1 winner), second prize a Guam flight ticket (5 winners), third prize a stay at a popular Guam hotel (7 winners), and fourth prize a 3,000-won GS Pay discount coupon (4,000 winners). Additionally, when paying for Guam collaboration products with the Naver Pay Money Card, a prepaid card specialized for overseas payments, customers will receive 50% of the purchase amount back in points.
Choi Seung-woo, Manager of Financial Partnerships at GS Retail, stated, “This collaboration represents a new type of integrated marketing model involving a convenience store, a tourism bureau, and a simple payment provider. We aim to deliver tangible benefits to customers while boosting both overseas travel demand and the use of convenient payment methods.”
