"Don't miss this taste! Come to Gumi to try ramyeon!"
Gumi City announced on the 4th that the 2025 Gumi Ramyeon Festival will take place around Gumi Station for three days from the 7th to the 9th.
This year's festival, held under the theme of 'Original,' will showcase a new urban ramyeon culture festival where daily life and local businesses blend together, centered around the world's longest ramyeon restaurant.
At Ramen Street 475, the main festival zone, interactive programs inspired by the KPop Demon Hunters universe will be held, including the KDH Noodle Slurping Contest, the Golden Challenge, and the Lion Boys Random Play Dance.
There will be performances and photo zones for everyone from young adults to families, adding to the festival's excitement. At Godland, the signature area selling freshly fried ramyeon, 120,000 limited edition Shin Ramyun K-Pop Demon Hunters Edition packs will be available.
This year, a QR ordering system has been introduced to reduce wait times. Visitors can enjoy 25 creative dishes made with freshly fried ramyeon, as well as a variety of menu items like Half-and-Half Ramyeon.
Mayor Jang Ho Kim stated, "This year's festival was designed as an urban event where citizens can enjoy themselves and local businesses can thrive." He emphasized, "Through the familiar theme of ramyeon, we aim to present a new model for a Gumi-style city festival that brings together generations and cultures."
He added, "I hope families, friends, and couples will all come to Gumi Station to experience the original taste of ramyeon and the vibrant energy of the city festival together."
The main dining zone, Hururuk Lounge, will feature six different concepts: Family Zone, Relax Zone, Old Town Zone, Alley Night Market Zone, Nature Park Zone, and Viewing Lounge. Each lounge offers a city ramyeon picnic experience, allowing visitors to enjoy a new type of festival that combines food and culture.
Additionally, the rear plaza of Gumi Station will be transformed into a family-friendly space with a cup ramyeon rest area, bubbling playground, and ramyeon imagination workshop, where children can relax and participate in hands-on activities.
The festival's excitement will spread throughout the city. At the Geumosan lawn plaza, the Geumosan Kids Festival featuring Teenieping will take place for children, while a ramyeon festival certification short discount event will be held at Geumridan-gil.
Major commercial districts such as Geumridan-gil, Munhwa-ro, Geumosan, and Jinpyeong Food Specialty Street will offer menus featuring freshly fried ramyeon, creating a collaborative city festival where citizens and merchants come together.
Meanwhile, the Gumi Ramyeon Festival is establishing itself as a city culture platform that goes beyond a simple food event, fostering growth for local businesses.
With its unique concept of freshly fried ramyeon, local restaurants and small business owners are participating together, and the festival is expected to invigorate the local economy even after the event.
