Nongshim announced on the 4th that it will launch its new product, Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-fried Noodles, targeting overseas consumers in the global market by the end of this year. In Korea, the product will be introduced first as a limited edition on the 24th.
A Nongshim representative stated, “Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-fried Noodles is set to become a flagship global product by 2026, and we plan to develop it as a leading K-food brand. Before the official global launch at the end of this year, we will first introduce it to domestic consumers.”
Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-fried Noodles was first unveiled last October at Anuga 2025, the world’s largest food fair in Germany. The product is characterized by a harmonious blend of sweetness familiar to foreigners and the unique spicy-sweet flavors of Korean cuisine.
Nongshim analyzed that foods combining sweet and spicy flavors are well-suited to foreign tastes. In fact, according to a 2024 overseas Korean food consumer survey conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), the most preferred Korean dishes were Korean fried chicken (including seasoned varieties), Kimchi, and Bibimbap—all known for their spicy-sweet profiles.
Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-fried Noodles features the signature spiciness of Shin Ramyun, complemented by the savory and sweet flavors of stir-fried Kimchi. The dish is enhanced with a rich Kimchi paste sauce stir-fried in sesame oil, along with bok choy and Kimchi flakes for deeper flavor and texture.
A Nongshim representative explained, “Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-fried Noodles combines the spicy-sweet taste of stir-fried Kimchi with Shin Ramyun, making it easily enjoyable for foreigners. We aim to further elevate the status of K-food in the global market.”
