[Financial News] The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) participated in Asia's largest technology innovation exhibition, Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology 2025 (SWITCH 2025), supporting the global expansion of technology-converged content startups. At this event, nine K-content companies achieved export consultations totaling $36.84 million, demonstrating the competitiveness of Korean content technology in Singapore.
K-content startups establish a foothold in Singapore and accelerate their entry into Southeast Asia.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KOCCA, from October 29 to 31, they operated the K-content Pavilion (joint booth) at SWITCH 2025, held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, SWITCH 2025 is a platform where startups, investors, and creators from around the world gather to share the latest technology trends and seek collaboration. Around 400 startups from 50 countries participated, drawing attention from the Asian tech market. The event featured a variety of programs, including conferences, startup showcases, and the SLINGSHOT pitching competition, where innovative ideas and insights were exchanged.
KOCCA, in cooperation with the Singapore Business Center, operated the joint booth and actively supported content startups seeking to enter the Southeast Asian market by helping them establish local sales channels.
The participating companies included: VideoMonster (travel video production and supply solutions), BrainDeck (gamified content-based personalized voice rehabilitation and generation service), Sharebox (XR immersive interaction content platform), Wise On Media (music education edtech content), Iruti (investment attraction and revenue-sharing service for small and medium-sized video content creators), ConnectBrick (automated marketing content image generation solution), CODE CRAYON (AI and data-driven global short-form content platform), Famppy (metaverse-based XR content service), and HISTRANGER (multimodal AI data analysis content diagnosis service)—a total of nine companies.
During the event, these companies held a total of 812 consultations with major investors, prominent local buyers, and stakeholders in Singapore, resulting in export agreements worth approximately $36.84 million (about 52.3 billion KRW).
Additionally, at the joint booth, participating companies such as ConnectBrick and Sharebox signed business agreements with key local partners, raising expectations for K-content’s expansion into the Southeast Asian market.
Strengthening Local Networks and Expanding the K-content Collaboration Ecosystem through KOCCA NIGHT
On October 30, KOCCA hosted 'KOCCA NIGHT' to deepen understanding of the local market and strengthen expert networks. The event was attended by major content tech startup leaders and media/content industry stakeholders from Singapore and Southeast Asia, including Invade (a company developing space businesses based on lifestyle content and immersive experiences), ChopChop Systems (media content production and solutions), BeLive (a NASDAQ-listed company developing live streaming and commerce technology solutions based in Singapore), and Gushcloud (a large content creator community and fund). The event provided vivid insights into collaboration strategies with K-content startups and ways to establish a presence in the Southeast Asian market.
Kim Soo-jin, Head of the Enterprise Development Team at KOCCA’s Content-Based Headquarters, stated, “Singapore is not only a major consumer market for K-content but also a strategic hub for spreading trends throughout Southeast Asia and a key gateway to the ASEAN market. We will continue to provide comprehensive support to accelerate the global expansion of K-content technology.”
