Domestic Travel with Super Rapid Train (SRT): Which Destination Will Be the Best in 2025?

[Financial News] SRT Magazine, the in-train publication of SRT, announced on the 3rd the results of the '2025 SRT Award,' revealing the ten best travel destinations representing South Korea this year.
The cities selected as the top destinations for this year's SRT Award are Goheung County, Gongju, Mokpo, Andong, Yeongju, Ulju-gun, Iksan, Chuncheon, Haman County, and Haenam County.
The SRT Award was established to promote the appeal of domestic travel and to revitalize regional tourism. The final ten destinations were chosen based on the first round of voting by 12,160 readers across 46 cities and evaluations by a panel of ten travel journalists and writers. The assessment criteria reflected various travel trends, including gastronomy, trekking, activities, nightscape attractions, and pet-friendly destinations.
Additionally, fifteen cities with outstanding tourism potential were announced as '2026 Recommended Cities.' The cities expected to shine next year are Ganghwa-gun, Gimje, Daejeon, Miryang, Buyeo County, Sangju, Asan, Yangsan, Yeosu, Wando County, Nam-gu, Ulsan, Wonju, Jangheung County, Paju, and Hampyeong County.

Meanwhile, a survey conducted last September showed that 87.2% of respondents were satisfied with SRT Magazine. More than half (57.8%) said they read the magazine every time they take the train, and 57.9% reported that the magazine inspired them to travel or make travel plans.
