The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced on the 3rd that they will hold the 2025 Winter Edition of the Korea Accommodation Sale Festa until December 7.
This promotion is part of the nationwide consumer festival, the Korea Grand Festival, under the vision of 'Consumption that brings hope, an economy that grows together.' It aims to boost demand for winter travel by distributing approximately 100,000 accommodation discount vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis.
Previously, MCST and KTO distributed 770,000 accommodation discount vouchers through the Autumn Edition and the Special Disaster Area Edition, which ran from August 20 to October 30.
The Winter Edition targets accommodations outside the metropolitan area (excluding Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon). For rooms priced at 70,000 won or more, a 30,000 won discount voucher is available; for rooms under 70,000 won, a 20,000 won voucher applies.

Vouchers can be used for accommodation products with check-in during the event period at registered hotels, condos, resorts, and pensions in Korea. However, short-stay products and unregistered accommodations are excluded.
Thirty-nine online travel agencies, including Yellow Balloon Tour, NOL Universe, Yeogi Eottae, and Hanatour, are participating in this promotion. The vouchers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on the 3rd through these agencies.
The issued vouchers can be used for reservations and payments from 10 a.m. each day until 7 a.m. the following day. If not used within the period, they will automatically expire.
Geunho Kim, Director of Tourism Industry Policy at MCST, expressed gratitude for the strong public interest in the Autumn and Special Disaster Area Editions. He stated, "We hope that distributing accommodation discount vouchers through this Winter Edition will increase domestic travel demand during the winter and help revitalize local economies."
