With just ten days remaining until the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), the Jeonbuk State Office of Education has completed preparations to ensure smooth and stable administration of the exam.
On the 3rd, the Jeonbuk State Office of Education held a briefing on the '2026 CSAT Preparation Status,' stating that thorough measures are in place so that all test-takers in the province can take the exam in a safe and fair environment.
This year's CSAT will be held on the 13th from 8:40 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. (for general test-takers). The exam will take place in six districts within the province—Jeonju, Gunsan, Iksan, Jeongeup, Namwon, and Gimje—across a total of 66 test centers.
There are 17,937 test-takers this year, an increase of 896 compared to last year.
From this year, the number of students per test room has been adjusted from the previous 24 to 28, returning to pre-COVID-19 levels.
The Jeonbuk State Office of Education finalized the test centers earlier this year and completed on-site inspections of all venues, including broadcasting facilities, since August. In addition to electrical and gas safety checks, a final comprehensive inspection will be conducted before the CSAT, and any deficiencies found will be immediately addressed.
During the CSAT week, comprehensive situation rooms will be set up at the Provincial Office of Education, the District Office of Education for Test Administration, and each test center to establish a coordinated response system and handle all matters related to exam operations.
The Provincial Office of Education and the District Office of Education for Test Administration will operate the College Scholastic Ability Test Management Headquarters until the day after the CSAT, which is the 14th.
A total of 4,100 personnel will be dispatched for exam operations. This includes around 3,700 exam supervisors, 66 dispatched supervisors, 277 police officers, and 67 fire safety managers, all of whom will play essential roles in exam management, transportation of test materials, site security, and ensuring the safety of test-takers.
For test-takers with disabilities or illnesses requiring special accommodations, individual test rooms will be provided. All test centers will also have infirmaries and reserve test rooms. Health teachers, fire safety managers, and police officers will be stationed to respond to emergencies.
A representative from the Jeonbuk State Office of Education stated, “We will continue to make thorough preparations so that every test-taker in the province can take the CSAT safely,” and added, “We hope students will take care of their health and condition in the remaining days and perform at their best on the exam day.”
