NEXON Games announced on the 3rd that, together with NEXON Foundation, it will launch the 'With Young Project,' a social contribution initiative to support Young Carers. On the same day, NEXON Games donated 100 million won to ChildFund Korea.
A Young Carer refers to children, adolescents, or young adults who care for family members in need due to disability, illness, or aging, or who bear the responsibility of supporting their families. These individuals often face difficulties in academics, career planning, and forming peer relationships. However, due to a lack of social awareness and gaps in the welfare system, they frequently do not receive adequate support.
NEXON Games and NEXON Foundation are implementing the With Young Project to help Young Carers reduce their caregiving burden and grow into healthy adults. In its first year, the project will select a total of 15 Young Carers through ChildFund Korea and provide them with packages designed to alleviate their caregiving responsibilities.
The caregiving relief package is a tailored support program in which a care coordinator develops an individualized care plan for each child. The package includes living expense support to address caregiving, education, health, and housing needs; regular delivery of essential goods such as groceries and daily necessities; provision of welfare and medical information, as well as details on related policies and local resources; and access to emergency care services.
To ensure long-term support for Young Carers and raise public awareness, NEXON Games plans to offer cultural experiences that allow Young Carers to take a break from their caregiving duties. The company will also introduce volunteer programs for employees, expanding its activities in various ways.
