[Financial News] Nota made its debut on the Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (KOSDAQ) on the 3rd. Founded in 2015, Nota is an AI startup that has secured technological competitiveness through its proprietary AI model optimization platform, NetsPresso, and on-device AI solutions. As high-performance AI models have recently emerged, the costs for companies to adopt and operate AI have soared. In this context, AI lightweighting and optimization technologies, which help reduce these expenses, are attracting global attention.
Since its founding, Nota has been recognized for its technological potential, attracting investments from leading companies such as NAVER D2 Startup Factory (D2SF), Samsung Group, LG Group, and Kakao Corporation.
Currently, Nota’s AI model optimization technology is being further advanced through collaborations with global companies like Nvidia Corporation, Samsung Electronics, Qualcomm, and Sony. Recently, as physical AI applications such as autonomous driving and robotics have grown, Nota’s technology has gained even greater prominence. This year, the company was named one of the '2025 Global Innovative AI Startups 100' by CB Insights.
Notably, Nota is expanding the potential of AI across various industries—including industrial safety, transportation, surveillance, and retail—through its video monitoring solution, Nota Vision Agent, which applies generative AI-based vision-language models (VLM) in on-device environments.
Through its listing, Nota plans to strengthen its competitive edge in AI optimization technology and expand target markets where edge AI can be deployed. The company aims to solidify its market position by actively pursuing sales and marketing with global semiconductor and device manufacturers in key markets such as the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. At the same time, it will invest in developing next-generation platforms capable of optimizing a wider range of AI models. Strategic collaborations with leading global embedded companies are expected to increase market share and revenue in high-growth sectors such as defense and aerospace.
Nota has secured major Fortune Global 500 companies as key clients, achieving rapid annual sales growth. Revenue more than doubled from 3.6 billion KRW in 2023 to 8.4 billion KRW in 2024, with a target of 14.5 billion KRW in 2025 and a goal to turn profitable by 2027.
Myungsu Chae, CEO of Nota, stated, “This IPO is not just about raising capital; it is a crucial strategic decision to gain global market trust and lay the foundation for greater growth. Moving forward, we will continue to drive innovation across all industries through AI optimization technology and ultimately realize our vision of ‘AI Everywhere,’ enabling AI adoption in diverse sectors without environmental constraints.”
