On November 2, citizens and tourists bundled up as they moved through Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul's Jongno District. As cold air from the north caused temperatures to drop significantly, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced that a Cold Wave Advisory would be issued from 9 p.m. tonight for Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Incheon Metropolitan City, Chungcheong region, North Jeolla Province, and Western Gyeongsang. 2025.11.02. /Photo=Newsis

[Financial News] On Monday the 3rd, the morning low in Seoul will drop to 1°C, as an 'autumn cold wave' sweeps across inland regions nationwide.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), morning lows will range from -4°C to 5°C, and daytime highs from 11°C to 18°C, which is similar to or lower than average.
With cold air moving south, a Cold Wave Warning has been issued for parts of central regions including Seoul, as well as North Jeolla Province and Western Gyeongsang. Morning temperatures are expected to plunge by 5 to 10 degrees.
Strong winds will make it feel even colder. On the West Coast of Chungcheongnam-do and the West Coast of Jeolla, wind gusts may exceed 20 meters per second until dawn.
Frost is expected in many inland areas, and ice may form in Jungbu Naeryuk, the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, and high-altitude regions of the southern region.
Most of the country will see clear skies, but the East Coast, South Coast, and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy.
In the Yeongdong region of Gangwon, rain is expected in some areas until dawn, while the East Coast of North Gyeongsang Province will see occasional rain from early morning to midday. Snow may fall in the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province.
Busan, Ulsan Metropolitan City, and the East Coast of North Gyeongsang Province may see light rain (less than 0.1 mm) from morning to afternoon, while the South Coast could experience brief showers from afternoon to night.
Over the two days of the 2nd and 3rd, expected precipitation is 5–30 mm for Ulleungdo and Dokdo, around 5 mm for the East Coast of Gangwon Province, and about 1 mm for the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province. Up to 1 cm of snow may accumulate in the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province.
Waves will range from 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea.
In offshore waters (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to reach 1.5–5.0 meters in the East Sea and 0.5–3.5 meters in the West and South Seas.
Most seas will experience very strong winds of 9–18 meters per second and high waves of 2–4 meters. Vessels should exercise particular caution when navigating or operating in these conditions.
