South Jeolla Province stated that, as part of efforts to revitalize rural experiences, the 'Namdo Experience Tour Program' will be sold at a 10% discount through the themed section of Namdo Marketplace until the end of the year.
The 'Namdo Experience Tour Program' consists of 109 experiential programs offered by 39 companies, which were selected after South Jeolla Province comprehensively reviewed their educational value and facility safety.
The programs include activities such as making gochujang (Korean chili paste), harvesting agricultural products, creating natural cosmetics, experiencing tea culture, healing ranch visits, and growing houseplants. Notably, the programs are gaining attention as rural-themed tourism content linked to experiential learning for children.
Kim Seonju, CEO of Mom's Home, one of the selected companies, commented, "Running a rural experience farm, the online platform has been very helpful in attracting and promoting to visitors. With the additional 10% discount, I expect even more people will participate," adding, "We plan to continue developing diverse experiences and services to attract more visitors to rural areas."
Sang-Mi Park, Head of the Agricultural and Food Distribution Division of South Jeolla Province, stated, "Rural experiences are more than just tourism—they are vital content that brings energy to local communities. I hope that through this discount opportunity, many people will visit the rural areas of Namdo, enjoy a variety of experiences, and discover the region's unique charm."
