"Threatening with a Weapon While Drunk"... Man in His 20s Arrested After Causing Disturbance in Gangnam

[The Financial News] A man in his 20s was apprehended by police after brandishing a weapon at pedestrians while intoxicated in the heart of Gangnam.
On the 30th, Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced that the suspect has been booked and is under investigation for carrying a weapon in a public place.
The man is accused of threatening citizens with a 20-centimeter-long weapon while drunk on the streets of Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, at around 7:50 p.m. on the 27th.
Police responded to a report from a passerby and arrested the suspect at the scene. The weapon in his possession was confiscated on site. A preliminary drug test returned negative.
Authorities are currently investigating the specific circumstances and motive behind the incident.
