[Financial News] During its third-quarter earnings conference call on the 30th, Samsung Electronics announced, "The foundry division achieved its highest-ever order volume this quarter, driven by advanced processes such as large-scale customer orders for the 2 nm process."
The company added, "In the foundry business, one-off costs that occurred last quarter decreased in Q3, and improved utilization rates in advanced processes, combined with cost reduction efforts, led to a significant narrowing of losses."
Furthermore, Samsung Electronics stated, "In the fourth quarter, we expect increased sales through the mass production of new products using the first-generation 2 nm process, as well as expanded sales of High-performance computing (HPC), Auto, and memory semiconductor products to major clients in the United States and China. We also anticipate further performance improvement through continued utilization rate increases and cost efficiency initiatives."
