[Financial News] With ‘G-STAR 2025’ set to open in just ten days on November 13, major Korean game companies are gearing up to present their latest lineups. NCSoft Corporation, this year’s main sponsor, will operate 300 booths and prominently feature five new titles, including ‘AION 2.’ Netmarble Corporation and Krafton Inc. will also unveil new demos and global IP expansions, showcasing the strength of K-Games.■The Return of Major IPs... Competing with Quality and ScaleAccording to industry sources on the 2nd, ‘G-STAR 2025,’ now in its 21st year, will be held from November 13 to 16 at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu, Busan. It is the largest game show in Korea.
NCSoft Corporation will reveal its new lineup in the largest exhibition space, comprising 300 booths. Five new titles will be showcased, including ‘AION 2,’ scheduled for release on November 19, the open-world tactical shooter ‘Cinder City,’ the next-generation time survival shooter ‘Time Takers,’ and the animated action RPG ‘LIMIT ZERO BREAKERS.’ Details about one unannounced title will be revealed at G-STAR.
Netmarble Corporation’s booth will feature a central dome theater and two demo zones on either side, presenting four new titles such as the third-person co-op action game ‘Project EVILBANE’ and ‘Solo Leveling: KARMA.’ Notably, this is the first time ‘Project EVILBANE’ will be available for demo at G-STAR. ‘Solo Leveling: KARMA’ is a roguelite action RPG currently in development for mobile and PC platforms, based on the ‘Solo Leveling’ IP. Visitors can also look forward to ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin’ and ‘MONGIL: STAR DIVE.’
Krafton Inc. will unveil ‘Palworld Mobile’ for the first time at G-STAR 2025. ‘Palworld Mobile’ is a mobile game in development based on the global hit ‘Palworld’ IP from Japanese developer Pocketpair, Inc. The original ‘Palworld’ launched in early access on Steam in January 2024 and surpassed 32 million cumulative players worldwide within a year, becoming a global sensation.■What’s Next for Gaming?... Making a Mark with Blockchain and New IPsNEOWIZ will participate in G-STAR 2025 with ‘SANABI Side Story: The Possessed Day.’ Currently in development, this title follows the popular character Song Soryeong from the original ‘SANABI’ as she investigates mysterious incidents in a robot scrapyard. With its unique Joseon cyberpunk setting, dynamic action, and moving narrative, the original ‘SANABI’ was a hit, raising expectations for this side story.
Webzen Inc. will debut its new title ‘Gate of Gates’ for the first time. ‘Gate of Gates’ is a strategic defense game developed by Retrail, a Korean studio in which Webzen Inc. has invested and signed a publishing agreement.
Nexus, participating in G-STAR for the first time this year, will focus on business meetings with domestic and international partners to expand the ecosystem of its open blockchain game platform ‘CROSS.’ Key meetings are scheduled with major overseas partners, including those from China and the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), to discuss expanding networks and cooperation in the Middle East and Asia.
