South Jeolla Province stated that the agreement was signed on the 29th in the provincial government reception room with Japan's SAVIA and Tamjindeul Agricultural Corporation to enhance global export cooperation for AI Smart Farm agricultural products.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kang Wi-won, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of South Jeolla Province, Takashi Katayama, Manager at SAVIA, and Dong Ju Myung, CEO of Tamjindeul Agricultural Corporation. They discussed ways to expand the overseas market for agricultural products from South Jeolla Province.
Under the agreement, SAVIA will work to expand sales channels for South Jeolla Province's agricultural products using its distribution network in Japan. Tamjindeul Agricultural Corporation will ensure stable production and supply based on AI Smart Farm technology. South Jeolla Province will focus on spreading AI-based smart agriculture and fostering global export companies.
Previously, South Jeolla Province has been establishing a foundation for future-oriented agriculture by promoting projects such as building smart greenhouses and livestock complexes, and innovating agricultural product processing and distribution. With this agreement, the stable production and export of smart farm agricultural products from South Jeolla Province and the strengthening of global cooperation systems are expected to accelerate.
Kang Wi-won stated, "Through this agreement, we are opening a new future for agriculture in South Jeolla Province and paving the way for entry into the global market. We will actively support South Jeolla Province's agricultural products so they can compete confidently in the world market by integrating AI and smart farming technologies."
