Financial News, Gyeongju – Kim Jang-uk: During the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, Gyeongju Expo Grand Park in Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is bustling with a wide range of attractions and food options for both APEC participants and the general public, drawing a steady stream of visitors.
The first stops are the Bio Beauty Industry Pavilion and the K-beauty Joint Pavilion, both set up within the APEC Economic Exhibition Hall by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government and Gyeongju-si for APEC.
To present the vision of the bio-beauty industry and introduce it to both domestic and international visitors during APEC, the exhibition combines displays and hands-on experiences. This allows guests to witness both the present and future of the Gyeongsangbuk-do style bio-beauty industry, with a special focus on K-beauty.

Twenty-two cosmetics and beauty companies from the province are showcasing a wide range of products, from basic and color cosmetics to hair, skin, and body care items, all reflecting the latest global trends.
The K-beauty Joint Pavilion, open until November 1, features a diverse array of products provided by 22 local cosmetics and beauty companies, from basic and color cosmetics to hair, skin, and body care, all in line with global trends.
A female visitor who experienced scalp and skin diagnostics by KC Technology at the K-beauty Joint Pavilion and toured the exhibition said, "I was very satisfied to be able to visually confirm my scalp and skin condition and receive a detailed explanation. The companies in Gyeongsangbuk-do have excellent technology and quality, and I could directly see the excellence of K-beauty through this exhibition."
Kim Dong-hwan, head of the Global Cosmetic Business Center at the Gyeongbuk Institute of IT Convergence Industry Technology, who oversees the exhibition hall, stated, "We will use APEC as an opportunity to expand our global network and advance the industrial ecosystem, striving to establish Gyeongsangbuk-do as a central hub for the K-beauty industry."

The Economic Exhibition Hall at Gyeongju Expo Grand Park features the Korea Industrial History Hall and the Advanced Future Industry Hall, offering even more to see.
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the Bridge of Time, inspired by Woljeonggyo—one of Gyeongju’s iconic cultural heritages—where they can view the history of Korea’s industrial development at a glance. Passing through this space leads to the Tower of Time and Window of History, inspired by the Three-story Stone Pagoda of Bulguksa Temple, where the Kinetic Cube and Media Wall provide a visual experience of the industry’s growth and transformation.

The outdoor special exhibition at Gyeongju Expo Grand Park is bustling with visitors at the K-Tech Showcase.
The exhibition space, designed as an air dome, features participation from Korea’s four major conglomerates—Samsung, SK Group, Hyundai Motor, and LG Group. These companies will present Korea’s advanced industrial technologies and future vision to the leaders of 21 countries and over 1,700 global leaders gathered in Gyeongju.
At the far left of the air dome, the Samsung Electronics booth draws attention with the first public display of the Galaxy Z Tri Fold, a smartphone that folds twice. Although visitors could not touch the device, the full-sized model and a visual demonstration of its folding and unfolding mechanism using transparent MicroLED technology captivated the audience.
Hyundai Motor Group showcased a wide range of future mobility technologies, including hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs) and Purpose Built Vehicles (PBVs), while Boston Dynamics’ robot Spot roamed the booth.
LG Electronics impressed visitors by installing a massive chandelier made from multiple LG SIGNATURE OLED T transparent OLED displays.

At the main venue of the APEC CEO Summit, Gyeongju Arts Center, the K-Food Promotion Hall and tasting events featuring Gyeongsangbuk-do’s agricultural products, held in conjunction with the APEC 2025 KOREA Cross Culture Festival, continue to attract visitors.
At the promotion hall, staff dressed in Suragan (the royal kitchen in dynastic Korea) attire offer tasting services that capture the elegance and dignity of the royal court. The tasting program features representative export items such as K-Street Food (Tteokbokki, Ramyeon, Sikhye), traditional flavors (Japchae, Seasoned Vegetable Mix, Bugak, herbal tea, Makgeolli, Fruit soju), and global snacks (Gimbap, Kimchi, Omija-cha).
