Samsung's 'Galaxy XR' Experience Zone Gains Popularity... Reservations Fully Booked Until Early Next Month

Samsung Electronics announced on the 29th that the 'Galaxy XR' experience zones, which have been operating at seven Samsung Stores nationwide since the 22nd, are attracting significant interest. Reservations at Samsung Store Hongdae are fully booked until the 5th of next month, and the experience zones at Samsung Gangnam and The Hyundai Seoul are also fully reserved until the 8th.
Notably, about 70% of those who reserved the experience zones are people in their teens and thirties, highlighting strong participation from younger customers.
In addition to customers with reservations, more people are visiting Samsung Stores to see the Galaxy XR device in person.
Galaxy XR offers not only YouTube, but also Netflix, TVING, Coupang Play, and other popular apps favored by younger generations, allowing users to conveniently and freely enjoy a wide range of content. This feature is believed to have contributed to its popularity among young people.
The Galaxy XR also boasts a lightweight 545g body and a well-balanced ergonomic design for comfortable and stable wear. Its multimodal AI enables intuitive interaction between the user and device by recognizing voice, gaze, and gestures.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics stated that the Galaxy XR has entered into a business agreement with Samsung Heavy Industries to build a virtual shipbuilding training solution. The device is also being utilized in areas such as medical training and product packaging, raising expectations for expanded use in the B2B market.
