"We already have the Hancom AI Agent, and we plan to release the Pro version in November. In addition, we are collaborating with Intel Corporation and LG Electronics Inc. (LG Electronics) to introduce on-device AI early next year," Kim stated.
According to industry sources on the 29th, Kim Yeonsu, CEO of Hancom, participated as an Intel Corporation partner at a press conference held at the Intel Seoul Pop-up Store on the first floor of OPUS 407 near Gangnam Station in Seoul the previous day, where he outlined Hancom’s AI transformation strategy.
Delivering his presentation in English, Kim first emphasized, "Hancom is undergoing a major transformation from a traditional package software business to a technology-driven AI company." He cited examples such as the AI-powered document creation tool 'Hancom Assistant,' the AI-based Q&A solution 'Hancompedia,' and the document data extraction AI 'Hancom Data Loader.'

Kim particularly noted, "In the past, all information was trapped inside documents. Although created in document form, documents serve as the foundation for all data, so we view them as data containers." He continued, "We have a highly reliable solution for extracting data from documents. Any type of document can be converted into data," introducing the 'Hancom Data Loader.'
Hancom Data Loader extracts text, tables, images, and layout information from documents with high accuracy and speed, converting them into structured data suitable for AI training. Most notably, it is released as open source, and Hancom expects to see an increasing number of use cases overseas.
Kim added, "In the AI business, Hancom has implemented biometric authentication features for cybersecurity and is also developing authentication solutions for digital assets and related technologies. We even possess low Earth orbit satellites, enabling us to deliver data collected from satellites to dashboards or in print format via AI agents."

Kim went on to share the current status and future plans for Hancom’s collaboration with Intel Corporation and LG Electronics to develop on-device AI solutions for drafting and summarizing documents.
Intel Corporation plans to launch laptops equipped with the new Intel Core Ultra 3 (Panther Lake) processor in Korea starting in January next year. Hancom’s plan is to install the on-device AI 'Assistant Edge,' based on the Hancom Assistant, in the new LG gram AI PC from LG Electronics.
Assistant Edge combines core features of Hancom Assistant, such as draft generation and document summarization, with Intel chips, enabling AI document processing on devices without internet access and providing fast, secure access to essential AI technologies. Kim Yeonsu personally demonstrated the beta version of Assistant Edge and encouraged greater interest in Hancom.
