The National Academy of Engineering of Korea (NAEK) announced on the 27th that it will hold its '30th Anniversary Ceremony' at 2 p.m. on the 29th at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
This event will reflect on NAEK’s achievements over the past 30 years and share its vision and commitment for the next century. Amid intensifying global competition for technological supremacy, the ceremony will highlight the role and responsibility of engineering as a national strategic asset and unveil a renewed vision for NAEK as an 'engineering think tank for an innovative Korea.'
Building on three decades of accumulated policy, talent, and cultural platforms, NAEK aims to address the nation’s social, industrial, and technological challenges and evolve into a leading engineering think tank for future competitiveness. Through these efforts, NAEK seeks to establish itself as a strategic national partner driving a virtuous cycle of innovation and growth.
Yoon Eui-jun, President of NAEK, stated, “As NAEK marks its 30th anniversary, we are determined to go beyond policy recommendations and become an engineering think tank and strategic public platform that delivers real change in industry and society through collaboration among academia, industry, research, and government. Engineering is not merely knowledge; it is the power of action that solves problems and shapes the future. With this strength, we will help build Korea’s next 100 years.”
