[Financial News] EUGENE Corporation has officially received certification for its concrete crack control technology utilizing latex.
On the 27th, EUGENE Corporation announced that the 'Latex Pressed Concrete' developed jointly with Tongyang Inc. has been awarded the 'Concrete Technology Certification (KCIC 25-009)' from the Korea Concrete Institute (KCI).
Since the beginning of this year through September, EUGENE Corporation and Tongyang Inc. have supplied over 80,000 m3 of Latex Pressed Concrete to more than 90 sites nationwide. The technology has been primarily applied to locations vulnerable to cracking, such as rooftop floors, mechanical rooms, and underground parking lots.
Latex Pressed Concrete offers improved crack reduction performance compared to conventional fiber reinforcement or wire mesh methods. In particular, it achieves a crack reduction rate of over 80% compared to fiber reinforcements.
The core of this technology lies in mixing latex particles into the concrete to form a continuous film, which suppresses microcracks caused by drying and shrinkage. The Korea Concrete Institute (KCI) evaluated that Latex Pressed Concrete enhances both crack resistance and waterproofing, providing significant protection for rooftop slabs and drainage layers in underground parking lots.
A representative from the Eugene Corporation Technology Research Institute stated, "This certification officially recognizes the latex-based concrete manufacturing technology of EUGENE Corporation and Tongyang Inc. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our lineup of specialty concretes, including high-durability products, to improve construction site quality and reduce defects."
