Latest Build of 'AION 2' and PUBG AI Characters... NCSoft Corporation and Krafton Inc. Take the Stage at GeForce Event

NCSoft Corporation and Krafton Inc. will appear on stage at Nvidia Corporation’s GeForce Gamer Festival. As the domestic game companies most actively investing in AI technology and infrastructure, NCSoft Corporation and Krafton Inc. will reveal tangible achievements of their AI transformation in collaboration with Nvidia Corporation at this event.
■ NCSoft Corporation Unveils Latest Build of 'AION 2'According to industry sources on the 26th, Nvidia Corporation will hold the GeForce Gamer Festival at COEX in Seoul on the 30th to commemorate the 25th anniversary of its GeForce business in Korea. At the event, Nvidia Corporation will showcase the latest Nvidia RTX technology and host game demonstrations, esports matches, performances, and various other events.
At this event, NCSoft Corporation will be the only company to provide game demonstrations, presenting the latest builds of the upcoming titles 'AION 2' and 'Cinder City' to gamers for the first time. Notably, NCSoft Corporation will operate a booth where visitors can play the next-generation MMORPG 'AION 2,' which is set to launch on November 19, aiming to heighten user anticipation.
The partnership between NCSoft Corporation and Nvidia Corporation is expanding across both technology and content. At Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this August, NCSoft Corporation unveiled its new title 'Cinder City' as a flagship for Nvidia RTX, emphasizing the application of cutting-edge graphics technology. 'Cinder City' is an open-world tactical shooter currently in development, utilizing Nvidia Corporation’s latest innovative graphics technology.
■ Krafton Inc. Introduces AI Characters in PUBGKrafton Inc. will participate as a partner in this festival, presenting the results of its AI technology collaboration with Nvidia Corporation. Kangwook Lee, head of AI at Krafton Inc., will introduce the new interactive character (CPC), 'PUBG Ally,' for 'PUBG: Battlegrounds.'
Unlike traditional NPCs that act according to predetermined scripts, CPCs are AI characters that communicate and interact with users, utilizing on-device small language models based on NVIDIA ACE (Avatar Cloud Engine) technology. Krafton Inc. has already experimentally introduced a CPC called 'Smart Zoi' in its simulation game 'inZOI.'
Krafton Inc. is now fully implementing an AI-based management system. The company recently announced plans to invest about 100 billion KRW to build a GPU cluster, focusing on securing infrastructure to accelerate the realization of agentic AI. NCSoft Corporation and Krafton Inc. are currently leading the AI transformation among domestic game companies, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing AI-driven development competitiveness through collaboration with Nvidia Corporation. An industry official stated, “Collaboration with Nvidia Corporation is expanding development innovation and its outcomes, centered on AI technology. Korean game companies are now entering a phase where they aim to redefine not only development efficiency but also the gaming experience itself through AI.”
