[Financial News] Sean Taffin de Givenchy, a descendant of the founder of the French luxury brand Givenchy, has married his Korean partner, Jung Da-hye.
The couple, both in their twenties, met at a Canadian university and held their wedding in Paris.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail and other sources on the 22nd (local time), Sean and Jung held their wedding last August at the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde in Paris, which is owned by the Givenchy family.
Both in their late twenties, the two first met in 2018 at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and their relationship later developed into romance.
In February last year, they also held a small ceremony at a courthouse in New York, inviting close family and friends.
Their Paris wedding lasted three days and was attended by many prominent members of the Givenchy family. The bride’s engagement ring was a custom piece designed by the groom’s uncle, jewelry designer James de Givenchy.

The rehearsal dinner on the first day was held at La Fontaine Gaillon, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris.
Jung Da-hye wore a Victoria Beckham dress paired with an ivory jacket from the Korean brand KIMHĒKIM.
Jung explained, "I had been eyeing it for a long time," adding, "It’s a classic jacket with feminine pearl embellishments at the front."
The wedding ceremony took place at the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde in central Paris.
On the day, Jung wore a wedding dress designed by Korean-American designer Andrew Kwon.
French media described their marriage as "the most prestigious wedding of the year."
Jung Da-hye, who was born in Seoul, grew up in the United States and Canada and recently completed her MBA at Columbia University in New York.
Sean was raised in Paris and has worked at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) and Christie's.
His father, Hubert Taffin de Givenchy, passed away in 2016. Afterward, Sean adopted the name of his uncle, Hubert de Givenchy, who founded Givenchy in 1952.
Although Givenchy was sold to LVMH in 1988, the family is still known to maintain close ties with the fashion industry.
