[Financial News] A man in his 30s, who collapsed on the street and fell into brain death, saved the precious lives of three people through organ donation before passing away.
According to the Korea Organ Donation Agency on the 23rd, the late Kim Moon-soo (34) donated his heart and both kidneys last month at Ajou University Hospital before passing away.
Kim was found collapsed while walking on the street in August and was taken to the hospital by a passerby, but he never regained consciousness.
The bereaved family decided on organ donation, hoping that Kim, who passed away at a young age, could continue to live on in others.
Kim's mother recalled, "When I told my family that I wanted to donate my organs, others were against it, but Moon-soo said it was good because it saves lives. Looking back now, I think donation was Moon-soo's last wish."
Born in Busan as the eldest of one son and one daughter, Kim was remembered by his family as a kind and upright person with a warm heart who always reached out to those in need.
During his school days, he was bright and proactive, serving as student council president and class president. After graduating from the Department of Computer Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, he worked at an automotive voice artificial intelligence (AI) company.
Kim's mother said, "There was never a moment when I did not love you. I hope you can do everything you want in heaven," as her final farewell.
