[Financial News] NC AI and Fashion Group Hyungji are joining hands to accelerate the AI transformation (AX) of K-fashion.
NC AI announced on the 22nd that it had signed an agreement with Fashion Group Hyungji on the 21st at the Korea Fashion Association (KFA) for 'AX and Barco implementation,' establishing a partnership for AI-driven management innovation. The agreement aims to help traditional fashion companies build an AI-centric management system using the specialized AI solution, Barco Art Fashion.
Through this partnership, Fashion Group Hyungji will gradually introduce NC AI’s Barco solution, prioritizing its application to key departments such as planning, sales, distribution, and customer service within three months. Fashion Group Hyungji is a leading comprehensive fashion company in Korea, overseeing listed companies such as FASHION GROUP HYUNGJI, HYUNGJI ELITE, Hyungji Global, and Hyungji I&C, as well as affiliates like Hyungji Esquire and Hyungji Art Malling. The group is also known for its flagship brand, Crocodile Lady.
Both companies plan to establish an execution system for data integration, business automation, and customer experience innovation, aiming for a company-wide AI management transformation. Fashion Group Hyungji will also promote internal education and organizational culture innovation to foster an AI-driven work environment.
NC AI is leading innovation in the fashion industry with its specialized AI solution, Barco Art Fashion. This tool serves as an AI image generator for fashion designers and marketers, enabling the easy creation of diverse fashion content—from product design drafts and model shots to visuals for social media marketing.
NC AI has already introduced Barco Art Fashion to leading domestic fashion companies such as F&F, known for MLB and Discovery Expedition, and Shinsegae International. The company is currently in contract discussions with more than ten major Korean fashion firms.
The fashion industry is now recognized as one of the most active sectors in adopting AI technology. As global luxury brands actively embrace AI, the fashion AI market is projected to reach $89.4 billion by 2035. With international examples such as Ralph Lauren’s AI stylist service and Balenciaga’s AI pattern creation, the partnership between NC AI and Fashion Group Hyungji is expected to become a leading model for AI transformation in Korea’s fashion industry.
Lee Jun-soo, CPO of NC AI, who attended the signing ceremony, stated, “We are delighted to partner with Fashion Group Hyungji, Korea’s leading comprehensive fashion group. Through this agreement, we aim to spearhead AI innovation in the fashion industry and contribute to enhancing global competitiveness.”
Choi Jun-ho, Vice Chairman of Fashion Group Hyungji, remarked, “AI is no longer a choice but a language of survival. By joining forces with NC AI, we aim to lead sustainable fashion management innovation that enhances both value and efficiency through AI.”
NC AI plans to continue supporting AI transformation across various industries, including fashion, by advancing the next-generation Barco series, developing industry-specific LLMs, and expanding multimodal generation technologies.
