[The Financial News] A man in his 50s was apprehended after assaulting a bus driver for refusing to let him off at a location that was not a designated stop. Police reported that the man, who was intoxicated, stated he acted out of anger.
According to police on the 22nd, the Incheon Gyeyang Police Station arrested the man in his 50s on charges of assaulting a bus driver under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.
The suspect is accused of repeatedly assaulting a driver in his 20s on a city bus traveling through Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, at around 4:50 p.m. the previous day.
He reportedly boarded the bus while drunk and demanded to get off at a non-designated location. When the driver refused, he assaulted him.
Due to the assault, the driver lost control, causing the bus to crash into a median strip and come to a stop.
Police responded to the scene after receiving a report, arrested the suspect at the scene, and plan to investigate the details of the incident.
