[Financial News] The G-STAR Organizing Committee, which will open G-Star in Busan this November, has announced the list of major participating companies. This year's G-Star will feature the first exhibition hall centered on domestic game companies such as main sponsor NCSoft, Netmarble, and Krafton, while the second exhibition hall will host leading global console game companies.
According to the G-STAR Organizing Committee on the 21st, the second exhibition hall at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) will feature Warhorse Studios, Sega, Atlus, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and KOMODO, the distributor of Steam Deck, all participating in the BTC exhibition.
Warhorse Studios, a Czech-based game developer, unveiled 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance II' earlier this year, making it a strong contender for Game of the Year (GOTY). Japanese game publisher Sega and its subsidiary studio Atlus are expected to organize booths focusing on the Persona series and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Bandai Namco Entertainment will present a special exhibition on site to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its flagship flight shooting game series, Ace Combat.
The organizing committee also announced that another leading global game developer will participate in this year's G-Star, preparing interactive exhibitions and e-sports events based on its flagship IP.
The 'G-Star Indie Showcase 2.0: Galaxy,' held in the second exhibition hall, will once again feature Steam Deck as a key partner this year.
Unity, a global game and content creation platform, will showcase a variety of innovative global games developed using the Unity game engine.
The organizing committee stated, "This year's event is designed as an immersive festival that goes beyond a simple exhibition, allowing visitors to directly experience the cultural and artistic expansiveness of games." They added, "With diverse content coming together as one, all participants will be able to see, hear, engage, and experience G-Star firsthand."
