[Financial News] Amorepacific Corporation announced on the 21st that its contemporary beauty brand HERA has officially entered major Japanese department stores, Hankyu and Mitsukoshi.
After testing local response through department store pop-up stores since its entry into Japan in 2023, HERA opened its first permanent location this September at Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store in Osaka. This month, it launched a second store at Mitsukoshi Department Store Ginza Store in Tokyo.
On its opening day, the HERA store at Hankyu Umeda Main Store recorded the highest sales since entering the Japanese market. Cumulative sales for September reached approximately 14 million yen, with both visitor numbers and purchase amounts surpassing those of previous pop-up stores.
The newly opened Mitsukoshi Ginza Store location also saw average daily sales increase by about 236% compared to the pop-up store. The limited-edition Comfy Revitalizing Serum Mist set and the overall skincare lineup have received positive feedback from customers.
A HERA representative stated, "It is not easy to enter major Japanese department stores, as they have high standards for brand image and quality. Through extensive communication with customers, we aim to establish HERA as a trusted luxury brand in the Japanese market."
