[The Financial News] The Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) announced that arrest warrants have been issued for 48 out of 64 suspects extradited from the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The KNPA stated on the 21st that pretrial detention warrant hearings for 48 suspects were completed the previous day, resulting in the issuance of arrest warrants.
Previously, arrest warrants were requested for 58 out of the 64 suspects repatriated from the Kingdom of Cambodia on the 18th. One suspect was immediately detained under a previously issued warrant, while another was released after the prosecution declined the police’s request for an arrest warrant. Four suspects were released without the police seeking warrants.
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency is awaiting warrant hearings for the remaining 10 suspects. The Uijeongbu District Court is scheduled to conduct hearings at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. today.
