Paris Baguette announced on the 20th that its bakery brand has opened its first store in Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar, named the Paris Baguette Zaisan Square Branch.
Mongolia is a market with high affinity for Korean culture and brands, and its food sector is showing double-digit annual growth, indicating strong potential. Paris Baguette plans to quickly establish its presence by opening two additional stores in Ulaanbaatar within the year.
Previously, Paris Baguette’s China subsidiary signed a Master Franchise (MF) agreement last year with Foodcorp LLC, a leading food and dining company in Mongolia. Foodcorp LLC boasts a broad business portfolio encompassing manufacturing, dining, and distribution.
The first Paris Baguette store in Mongolia, the Zaisan Square Branch, is located on the first floor of the Zaisan Square Center, a major shopping mall in southern Ulaanbaatar, and seats up to 90 guests. Featuring a premium bakery café concept, the interior uses wood accents such as herringbone-patterned floors to evoke a European atmosphere.
The store offers classic French breads like croissants and pain au chocolat, as well as popular items from the Chinese market such as Garlic Baguette and ring doughnuts, all crafted with Paris Baguette’s unique techniques.
A Paris Baguette representative stated, “Through premiumization, localization, and differentiation strategies, we aim to lead the bakery culture in Mongolia as well.”
Paris Baguette currently operates over 670 stores across 15 countries, including the United States, Canada, and France. At the end of February, the company completed a production center in Johor, Malaysia, to target the Southeast Asian and Halal markets. Last month, Paris Baguette also began construction of a 28,000-square-meter bakery plant in Texas, accelerating its global expansion.
