The Korea Local Information Research & Development Institute (KLID) announced on the 20th that it will hold the 'Gohyang Sarang e-Eum Donation Event' from October 22 to November 4. The event aims to invigorate the Hometown Love Donation Program and provide special benefits to donors.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate to any local government in the country, except for their own place of residence. Donors receive tax deductions as well as local specialty products as gifts in return.
This initiative contributes to strengthening local finances, revitalizing regional economies, and addressing the issue of local depopulation.
Since 2023, KLID has been operating 'Gohyang Sarang e-Eum,' the official portal for the Hometown Love Donation Program, in partnership with 243 local governments.
Gohyang Sarang e-Eum is an online platform that enables easy and convenient donations. It provides one-stop services for donation management, issuance of tax deduction documents, and selection of return gifts.
During the event period, 100 participants who donate at least 100,000 KRW through Gohyang Sarang e-Eum will be randomly selected to receive additional gifts.
Return gifts include a variety of local specialties such as rice, shiitake mushrooms, beef jerky, Korean beef and pork, and pear juice. Winners will be announced on November 12 on the Gohyang Sarang e-Eum notice board.
