As autumn deepens, Everland in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, is emerging as a popular day-trip destination near the Seoul metropolitan area for enjoying the fall foliage.
Currently, Everland is filled with the rich atmosphere of autumn, as tens of thousands of trees—such as maples, ginkgo, and zelkova—along with autumn flowers like marigolds and summer cypress, are turning into a spectrum of colors.
This fall, the country’s largest Ginkgo Tree Forest, which was first opened to the public last year, will be available exclusively to Everland Garden Pass subscribers for four days from November 7 to 10.
Spanning 150,000 square meters (about 45,000 pyeong), the Ginkgo Tree Forest at Everland features over 30,000 ginkgo trees planted in the 1970s for reforestation, stretching densely toward the sky. Untouched for more than half a century, the forest retains its pristine natural beauty.

A roughly 4-kilometer trekking course has been set up to allow visitors to fully experience the Ginkgo Tree Forest, complete with wooden benches, meditation areas, hammocks, and observation decks. Throughout the trek, guests can enjoy both tranquility and healing in nature. This fall, only 600 people—150 per day over four days starting November 7—will be able to participate in the Ginkgo Tree Forest experience.
Everland’s autumn festival is also in full swing, offering visitors a vibrant display of fall foliage. Along the approximately 1-kilometer Sky Garden Trail, over 10,000 trees, including plum and spindle trees, create a tunnel of colorful leaves. Summer cypress, which turns red earlier than other plants, is already showing off its brilliant hue, drawing crowds eager to capture the perfect autumn photo.
The Four Seasons Garden, transformed with a theme inspired by the fantasy novel 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,' is in full bloom with 10 million autumn flowers, including silver grass, marigolds, and globe amaranths, making it an ideal spot to soak in the season.
There are also many attractions where visitors can enjoy the thrill of rides while taking in the autumn scenery. Thunder Falls, surrounded by dense forest, offers a great view of the foliage while riding the rapids, and T Express provides a panoramic view of Everland’s autumn landscape from its highest point at 56 meters above ground.
The approximately 5-kilometer drive from Maseong Tollgate to the main gate of Everland is famous as a scenic autumn drive, with colorful foliage lining the mountain slopes on both sides, allowing visitors to enjoy the fall atmosphere from the comfort of their car.
